Issue Position: Protect Seniors and Veterans

Issue Position

Ingrid knows that we need to honor and support our seniors and veterans who put their lives on the line to defend our freedoms. Ingrid will fight for emergency financial assistance programs for veterans and their dependents. She supports the property tax credit that would be offered to our disabled veterans and spouses of veterans who have died as a result of service. Ingrid will also work with local veteran non-profits and organizations to create more services for our seniors in the community. Seniors and veterans need more affordable housing and our aging seniors need the resources to live a respectful and quality life as they age in place. No veteran should ever be homeless. And seniors should never be isolated with no community support. Ingrid is a caregiver and understands the seniors and the challenges they face. She will work hard to make the elderly and seniors a priority in every town and city in the District.
